Biology : This moray eel is hermaphroditic: it is born male and then becomes female.
When young, it is black, turning electric blue when it becomes male, then uniformly yellow when it transforms into a female.
The ribbon eel is particularly discreet and shy. When it deigns to leave its lair, it swims with great graceful undulations.
